MCFR News

We are proud to welcome the University of Wisconsin Madison International Division as an Institutional Member of MCFR!  Please visit the UW-DIS website to learn more about them.

Chip Duncan showed us clips from his public television documentary The Reagan Presidency. It can be purchased as a digital download from iTunes or Amazon and as a DVD from Amazon or from the filmmaker's web site.

Please note that more material from speakers Kjell Engelbrekt and Julianna Kerr is available to you on our Past MCFR Events page.

Chicago blog post about MCFR:
Julianna Kerr is the Director of the Immigration Initiative at The Chicago Council on Global Affairs.  She spent a December day in Madison meeting with local and state leaders about the importance of immigration to Wisconsin, then capped it with an evening at the MCFR. Click here to read her post about her time in Madison, including a description of the MCFR event.

Accessibility
: MCFR holds most of its events at the University Club, which offers mobility access through a ramp on the NW side of the building and elevators to all levels.  UC staff do like to escort people who use the elevator to go to the lower level, since it comes out at a part of the building that isn't right next to the event area.  The men's restroom is on the bottom floor and the women's is on the ground floor; there is a unisex restroom on the bottom floor if a woman doesn't want to take the stairs or elevator up.  There are 3 first-come-first served handicapped parking spots within 50 yards of the building (you drive up the road by the Chasen) and another 3-4 more handicapped parking spots that are available to people with UW disability permits. MCFR will hold its events on the ground floor whenever possible.

A listing of previous events, along with supplemental information from our speakers, videos, and other resources, is available on the Past MCFR Events page.

MCFR Members can see more news and resources in the Members Area.  If you are a Member and do not see this page in the left menu, just log on at the lower left.
